Undercover...college student?

Sep 16, 2003 21:44

Sometimes I feel like a writer masquerading as a college student. I do. I have these crazy backwards priorities, I'd rather be writing than doing my work half the time. I put off studying for my math test today so I could throw together a new, really rough outline for one of my novel ideas- you know, the ones that might actually chance to get published someday, as they don't involve other people's characters? I didn't mean to- swear to Gods- but I got this idea, and I had to run with it, or at least take the time to write it down, you know?

It spiralled from there, of course. When doesn't it?

Then I had to go watch the Weather Channel to find out if Hurricane Isabel was going to drown dagnylilytable or not.

You guys on the east coast be safe, okay? I'll be thinking of you, and keeping an eye on the weather and such on TV. I'll feel better when this whole thing is over, and I'm sure you all feel the same way.

I've never been in a hurricane before- they kind of don't happen in California- but I was evacuated for a flood once up in Northern CA. Pretty scary, that- at one point we had to drive across this bridge where the water was almost up to the bridge itself, and there was a full moon shining on it- pretty, but scary as hell.

I am so tired...and I really don't want to go to school tomorrow. Algebra tests, being lectured at in PoliSci, and my least favorite, 100 Things You Already Know About Your Computer. Blech.

Going to bed now.
