I just discovered a new urban pond (Hall's Pond, Brookline, and how come I've never noticed it before?) and am enjoying the local wildlife. The bat population is pretty excited about spring, so tonight I tried to get some good shots, some with flash, some without, and some in "burst" mode. They're tough to catch, zigzagging as they do, and I wished for a much faster film speed... still, it was fun.
I suppose these must be Big Brown Bats. A few more
