My birthday was last Weds and we headed to groomers place who made their own special treats which we purchased and then went for a walk around Mummy's old hood Mt Eden (which I love). It was a big long walk but was nice to go walking down quiet streets and ramble off track.
Then we stopped at the supermarket because Mum needed some lunch (she gets real hungry these days and often) and I stole one of the chocolate wrappers out of the rubbish compartment while she was inside. I have not mastered the skill of the poker face and Mum knew it was me…but she is a clever lady. But it kinda is her fault, she has one messy car these days.
When we got home I got to sample my treats then I had a long nap on the bed after my massive walk. At lunch time Mum feed me chicken from her croissant and I got to lick the plate full of croissant crumbs - buttery goodness!
After my slave came home in time to feed me my dinner (he could be better, he is getting tardy these days) we went to Movenpick and the humans gave me an intoxicating amount of ice-cream while we cuddled on the couch to keep warm in this cold weather we’ve been having. I think ice-cream is like my weed. The next day I had a hangover as well as paranoia setting it. I mean some of that ice-cream was green after all. That much sugar was probably not the best for me but it was my birthday after all and if there is any day for over indulging that is the day (and Christmas, and Hayley’s Nanas 90th birthday and well any time I can work a crowd to my advantage).
Mummy cant believe I am 6. Oh how the time has flown! I still can remember how Dad carried me in his pouch I was so small! Mum might weep over how fast the days are going but I'm excited for the next birthday - I saw her goggling how to make a cake. She struggled to find a mini cake for doggies my size. It'll be great if she just makes the full sized one for my hulk sized tummy.
Bring on 7!
+ another year with these humans = heaven. One is my mummy and another is my slave. I have a good deal going on here.
