Part 2 : Spring rolls
“Come on Sho love ! Do it properly!” Ueda complains “I’m not going to cook for you forever.”
The man looks at him with puppy eyes.
“Really?”
“What I mean is that I don’t want to be the only one cooking!!”
Yamapi sighs. When did he agree to teach them how to cook? Oh, right, never but he didn’t manage to say no.
“Ok, I need to go now” he says.
“Oh no, sensei〜 Can’t you stay a little longer? At least to eat the spring rolls we’ve made” Ueda asks.
“Er- no, sorry. A friend is visiting today…”
“I see… Well, have fun then”
Ueda and Sho smile. To be fair, he doesn’t like their smiles now. Well, anyway. He’s happy tonight cooking session is over. Plus one of his friends is coming over and he’s not going to let this little matter bother him.

“No way!” Ryo is laughing.
“I promise it’s true. They’re always all over each other and they’re so loud!- Listen!! We can hear them right now!”
The young man stops chatting and listens. Loud moans and cries come to his ears. He stares at Yamapi wide-eyed but can’t hide the smile that has appeared on his face.
“You’re right… Let’s do something else. Look, I’ve got some video games with me… let’s play a little. We can always turn the volume up…”
“Eh! You even got Street Fighter! I used to love that one” Yamapi comments while looking at the games “Ok let’s play… I’m going to kick your ass!”
“You wish”

“Sho… wake up love” Ueda whispers.
“Whatisit?” the man replies half asleep. Without thinking of it he draws the other one closer to him. But his lover insists.
“Listen… I think Yamashita-sensei’s friend is a little more than that…”
Reluctantly Sho opens his eyes and listens more carefully. Indeed some weird noises are coming from next door.
“Well, sounds like he’s having a good time… which gives me some ideas…”
Leaning over Ueda he starts kissing him tenderly. The other one doesn’t seem to complain the least.
***The next day Yamapi is so tired he almost wishes for chicken pox so that he won’t have to go to work. But looking at himself in the mirror he can see his wish didn’t come true… (who would wish for chicken pox I wonder!?). What time did Ryo leave yesterday? He doesn’t remember clearly. They played video games all night (well, almost) and drank quite a lot too.
Quickly ready he leaves his flat.
“Ohayo, sensei〜”
His eyes meet Ueda’s. Please, no. Not in the morning.
“Hope you had fun with your friend yesterday” he smiles.
Yamapi shrugs.
“Actually I was waiting for you. Sho’s already left for work but we wanted to thank you for your kindness. Because it’s so nice of you to teach us how to cook. So we thought of… an onsen trip!”
“Er- what!?”
“We’re going this weekend and you’re coming along! You can take your friend too. Here’s the reservation we made” Ueda hands him a booklet “Sho will drive us there. It’s going to be so much fun. I can’t wait!”
Yamapi is totally flabbergasted and when he realizes what has just happened, the man has already left. An onsen trip? After all, why not. He’s been really tired lately so it might be a good opportunity to relax. He’ll ask Ryo whether he wants to tag along. Ok, work now.

“Thanks”
“You’re welcome Yamashita-kun. We really wanted to thank you for all your hard work” Sho explains.
“And it’s good your boyfriend could join too” Ueda adds.
At the back of the car, Ryo and Yamapi stares at each other. Boyfriend?!
“Wait a minute” Yamapi starts, “he’s not my boyfriend… he’s just a friend”
“Yep, we’re not an item. Just childhood friend” Ryo confirms still looking surprised.
Ueda giggles.
“It’s ok, you don’t have to pretend… actually we heard you the other day… you were quite loud making out.”
What the f-? what day? Oh right when Ryo came to visit…
“No, really” Pi tries to explain “we didn’t do anything… we only played video games…”
“Of course you did” Sho winks at him in the mirror.
Crap. This is bad. Now they think he’s lying.
“Well, I think we’re discovered darling.”
Yamapi freezes. Those last words were uttered by… Ryo! The young man moves closer and leans against him.
“At least now we don’t have to hide… I’m so happy.”
Ueda smiles at them.
“You’re so cute together.”
Then he turns again and looks at the road.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” Yamapi hisses at his friend.
“Come on it’s gonna be fun” Ryo whispers trying his best not to laugh.
“You realize we’ll have to share a room!”
“It won’t be the first time. Relax and enjoy! I mean we can’t disappoint them. They’re well sound and real nice.”
Yamapi sighs. Ryo’s right. His neighbours are lovely people and it’s nice of them to take them on a trip. He should be more grateful. It’s only for the weekend. And it’s not like he’ll have to do anything with Ryo. They’ll just pretend to be an item. No big deal… or is it?
