I just told my mom I'm thinking about dying my hair again, maybe a peekaboo type of dye job, and she was all, "Can't you just look normal for your first semester of school?" And then she told me she wouldn't dye my hair any "weird" colours, so I was like, fine, I'll do it myself.
It actually really hurt when she said that to me, for some reason, and it made me cry. Is it that bad to be who I want to be, appearance-wise? Are the things that I think are cute really that weird and abnormal?
She's always been supportive of me in every other area of my life, so why is this so different?
