Private to Sasuke

[ Sasuke will wake up -- wherever he is -- to Pakkun sniffing at him and nudging at him with a cold wet nose. He has a bushel of large, ripe tomatoes tied to his back.

The attached note reads as follows, in Kakashi's terrible chickenscratch writing:

[After quashing the instinctive urge to electrocute the foreign thing which had invaded his bed, Sasuke sat up only to see that he was being visited by Kakashi's extremely uncute dog.

It so happened that the dog seemed to be in possession of tomatoes. Which was good. But on the other hand, he also had a note. Which was almost certainly not good.

Obviously Kakashi had sent it, but why? It couldn't be a bribe. That wasn't Kakashi's style, right?

Sasuke stares at the pug, squinting slightly in suspicion.]

Of course, Kakashi knows his birthday. Kakashi has always known his birthday. He had access to his records.

Sasuke had forgotten all about it being his birthday. Time had just been moving very strangely, now that he was alone, and dates weren't very important. Not that Sasuke's birthday was even and especially important date, but still, he usually would note it.

Sasuke snatches the note and unfolds it, still watching the dog.]

From Kakashi, right.
