Another Sleepless Summer...
Every once in a while, you meet someone who totally rocks your world, and not just in the average extraordinary way. This feeling is incredibly rare - because this person isn't just talented, or just another beautiful face, or someone with a one-in-a-million personality. This time, she stands out to you because she seems perfect for you - everything you've been looking for in a girl is right here, standing in front of you. And you know how difficult it is to find someone like her - you've been looking for years and have never quite met anyone who could fit the mold like she does.
Some would tell you it's all too good to be true - and it often is. Because more often then not, there's just one or two things standing in the way that will make that relationship impossible. Maybe it's physical distance, limited time, another person, or something about her mentality towards relationships - whatever it is, every single rational thought tells you it'd never work between you two. And yet, you can't keep your eyes off her, because her presence is captivating, and you'd do anything to get her to smile your way.
But she'll never know how you feel - and you'll both go your separate ways in life. You'll tell yourself it was for the best you never told her - you'd only have complicated things, looked stupid, or set yourself up for failure - all the while kicking yourself for not taking the chance when you had it. When this summer is over, I'll be adding another name to my list of "What If's?": someone to cherish my memories of, someone to wonder about on careless days, someone to dream of at night.
