"Yes, we're a biracial family. Get over it."
It's been about two weeks since I had wine - untill last night, I had some $3 shiraz called "charles shaw". It didn't taste as bad as I thought it would, but it had a disconcerningly mysterious aftertaste. Yikes?
Anyways, back to my opinion of some liquors:
Stolichnaya: sharp initial taste, clean after taste 5/10
Grey Goose: sweet, aromatic initial taste, warm aftertaste 5.5/10
I don't think I'll buy either of them again. There's better things to try, like Chopin (hopefully), but I have two exams this Monday, so I should spend the weekend studying, not drinking.
Jack Daniels: wierd aftertaste. Definitly for mixed drinks only. 3/10
Gentleman Jack: Stinging bite, but the usual whisky aftertaste. 4/10
Why did I sample crappy whiskies? well, for the experience, and to contrast with better whiskies, so I might appreciate them more.
1792 Ridgemont Reserve, Barrel Select, Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whisky: strong (47%), smooth, clean 9.5/10.
It's almost as strong as Knob Creek (50%), but it has the velvety smoothness of Woodford Reserve (40%).
1792 is simply the best thing that's ever entered my mouth ;)
It's a relaxing massage in a glass. It's simply incredible. No really, it's incredible. I'm going to have some tonight to verify that it actually tastes that good and that I wasn't hallucinating when I had a shot of it a few days ago. My memory tends to twist things as well.
There is a little difference in opinion about this bourbon, but
most reviewers agreed that it is worth it's money.
I think I had something else to post besides alcoholism, but I forgot.
Let's be honest with ourselves: After all the hullaballu, bad poetry, and pontification, we all want the same thing: good booze.
