Hendon Blue Devils Drop Two in a row!

Well, our winning streak (of 3 games) was snapped by a loss to Bagel Haven on Tuesday night. It was a pretty good game, great night to play some ball. I went 1-for-4, with a triple, a fly out to centre and a liner to third, caught by Greg. I was also the last out of the game, with two on and I think a chance to take the lead, but I popped up to the infield.

Today we played against the 'Classic Blue Jays' who hadn't won a game this season. Things were looking good until their team started cranking them out of the park. I think a total of 7 homers were hit, one guy had 4! The field is a bit shallower than the main diamond we play at, so most of those wouldn't have gone out of the park. We managed to keep it close by getting some runs back throughout the game. I think the final score was 14-10, something like that. I went 2-4 with a couple RBIs. Both hits were singles.

So, the Hendon Blue Devils are now 3-2 on the season.

The other league I'm in, MTS Sports, is going pretty well. On Friday nights game I went 5-for-5, with two doubles, two singles, a triple that I tried to stretch into a inside the park homer, but got called out by a close play at home.

I have game at 4pm today for the MTS league. Fortunately, I don't have another game until Friday night. I could use some rest. My shins have been starting to bother me lately. I'm not sure if it's 'shin splints' but whatever it is it's annoying. I think I already need some new insoles for my baseball shoes.
