Reality TV???

I may actually have to develop a Sunday night TV habit!! Last night we turned on Extreme Home Makeover. Its always a good show, but yesterday's was REALLY good- they had a military family on there. Dad was in Iraq, and as part of the show they flew him home to spend a week with his family. I do have to wonder how many strings got pulled for that, but it was nice to see. About halfway through that they started showing previews for the premier of Oprah's Big Give show. It looked interesting enough that we left the TV on to watch that too. Surprisingly enough, the show was pretty good. It seemed to me that some people were sincere about wanting to do good, and some people were sort of insincere about it. I think one of the less sincere women almost got eliminated, except for she called in a $25,000 favor to give a family a 6 month reprieve. About halfway through Big Give, they started showing previews for Here Come the Newlyweds (are you seeing a pattern here?). It looked amusing enough that we left the TV on to watch that too. Chalk it up as another show that was better than I expected. It was interesting that they had such a range of couples- one pair that had 6 failed marriages between the 2 of them, and one that had a modern-day arranged marriage. I didn't agree with the couple that was voted off though- I guess that's a constant feature of reality tv. It was sort of low of everyone to eliminate the couple who did what they probably all would have done though, instead of the couple that cost the entire group $10,000 in prize money.
I swear I'm going to bankrupt myself replacing my jeans. Something about being down on the floor with kids everyday makes the knees wear through really quickly. I'm serious. In the year I've had this job I've probably worn holes in 5 pairs of jeans!! Only the knees though- if it wasn't for the holes they'd all be totally wearable. Of course knees means that I can't even cut them down into ankle-length capris/cropped pants. I don't really like the knee length capris, and I really don't wear shorts much. Can I write this off as a work expense?
