Home - After three overtime periods the 2006 Orange Bowl moved into history with Penn State posting the win. It was an exciting game to say the least. It came down to the last team to make a mistake, lost the game.
But by the time we were in the third OT, I'm thinking to myself, "Please, someone put us out of our misery. It's well past time to go home."

The US Navy crew that piloted the flyover during the pregame National Anthem. The entire stadium shook with the sound of their afterburners. Talk about rocking the house.
Willie Webber of Arnold, PA with a hat full of buttons waits for the team.
"Brother Bubba" came from State College, PA to cheer his team to victory.
Check out the glasses! Now I have got to have a set of those.
Looks like Kilmer had someone pulling for him both before and during the game. A cheer leader like that would do wonders for my morale.
The team arrived and the Penn State fans are cheering their team into the stadium.
Penn State fans Marisa Merlini of Miami, Katie Devine of New Jersey and Vanessa Webb of Pittsburgh welcomed the team with their own team effort.

In Memoriam
FIU Staff Photographer Geoff Anderson passed away Tuesday night before the game. He collapsed in the parking lot on the way into the game. I didn't know of Mr. Anderson until the police came to the media camp looking for anyone that knew him. I want to thank paltergo for helping track him down through Google so the relatives could be notified in a timely manner. http://www.fiusports.com/index.php has a nice tribute to him and his service to the college.
