Speaker Pelosi's take on the number of jobs lost in a month...
Normally I don't cross post from other blogs. But this needs to be seen by as many people as possible.

So there I was watching the Honorable Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives talk about how this stimulus bill must be signed, because if we don’t do something quick, 500 million Americans will loose their jobs.
I had to think for a minute, she didn’t just say 500 million did she? I mean considering there are only 303,824,640 people living in the U.S. according to the CIA’s website, no she must have said 5,000,000 jobs and I misunderstood her, I mean she is the Speaker of the House, surely someone with that much responsibility wouldn’t tell the national media that if a bill doesn’t get signed that more people than there are living in the U.S. will loose their jobs. Surely she knows how many people live in the U.S., right? Wrong!
Tell me how is it, this woman got elected to office? I would really like to know, because so far what has been coming out of her mouth, makes no sense to me whatsoever!

This is just a tiny little sample of the bullshit and half truths we, the public, are being fed in order to gather support for the $900+ Billion Democratic Socialist Green Wish List and Payback Program Stimulus Package.
It also bears pointing out that if President Bush had made this mistake, it would have been all over the news and blogosphere. Lots and lots of people squealing with glee would have been joyously pointing at how this proves the President has no brain. Letterman would have highlighted the gaff on "Great Moments in Presidential Speeches."
All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia.
