I can look past most of the garbage they put on their site, like pictures of celebrities without makeup, paranoid ravings about how the newest Down Syndrome detection technique is a step away from Gattaca, or the newest reason your children could drop dead without warning. These are all annoying, and truly shitty journalism, but they don't come close to the actual harm they inflict on people by virtually advocating alternative medicine.
This isn't any old homeopathic remedy for your cold, either. This is cancer. The inspiring story of an organic food nut being diagnosed with Lymphoma, upset by real doctors telling her they weren't sure if she'd recover, and then bravely searching for anyone who will tell her what she wants to hear.
The article makes a point to mention she's going broke because her insurance doesn't pay physicians that leaned anatomy at a magic school. Those evil insurance companies, demanding she use science-based treatments. Science isn't the only way to know things, you bigots! Sometimes ancient Chinese tradition can be way better than your reason and statistics and experimentation. I mean, hey, there's a lot of really old Chinese people, so it must work, right?
