I am so relieved that I got my kitchen sink fixed. It's been a problem since I bought the place nine years ago. It's had leaks twice that flooded into the hallway outside my condo, and the first time it happened teh building manager sent an emergency plumber that did a half assed job and cost a small fortune. I feel pretty confident that Frank did a good job on it, and I won't have to worry anymore.
I went to the archeologist xmas happy hour. I got to see some old friends and it was nice, but it was very loud and I could only take it for about 90 minutes.
I made the move from Twitter to Bluesky, and it's so much better. I'm avoiding news there and focusing on adding writers and poets and artists. I'm also doing a lot of Spanbauer content, quoting from his books and from other authors that I love. I'm hoping to find and connect to other students of his there.
I skipped the THC xmas party today, they always hold it in the library and it's jam packed with people and I cannot be around that many people in a small space. I'm probably going to Jeannie's office party tomorrow, but I know she doesn't really want to go, so we might not. I am still spending my weekends alone at home and loving it. No bike ride this weekend as it will be cold and rainy.
I'm almost done with Monica Drake's ss collection, The Folly of Loving Life. It's good writing, but I haven't been able to get into it as much as I expected. Next up is Spanbauer's I Loved you More, his final novel, and my third favorite of his.
