It's been two weeks since my last post.

It's been up and down, as usual. I don't really much feel like writing about Jeannie, because there's nothing new to report there.

I've settled into my German classes. They have been pretty good after I finally found out which one I was actually in on Tuesdays. I had two chapters to catch up on and it took two weekends to get there. I'm studying or in class every day except on Fridays. I think it will help to have a bit more immersion and I feel like I am absorbing more.

Work is fine. I have my projects and they are going along without much stress.

The Berlin trip is 97 days away. I made a list of things I am looking forward to between now and then:

March 1st - Dune part two is out!
April 5th - The new Einsturzende Neubauten album is out! I donate monthly during their recording sessions to have access to rehearsals and early listening sessions. It's a good album.
May 1st - my birthday. I don't really celebrate it, but Jeannie is buying me some food that day, and I am looking forward to it.
May 30th - fly to Berlin!

Routine helps me deal with stress, and having a plan helps too, so after talking to my therapist I put together a weekly checklist of things to do.

-Study 4 nights a week.
-Meditate daily. I'm starting with 5-10 minutes and want to build up to at least 30.
-Write twice a week. I got excited about writing again last week after re-reading a short story by Barry Hannah called "Water Liars". It's so beautiful, and it makes me want to make something beautiful too. Currently I'm just reworking an old story and trying to get it ready to submit for publication at various journals. That gives me more incentive to actually sit and write.
