I may have just broken my toe on a lamp. Fucking ow, that hurts.
My life right now is pretty boring, maybe a tad depressing in places (do you ever get that feeling where you're just not connecting with the people around you anymore and you have nothing in common? I've come to realize I've saddled myself with a lot of really specific hobbies where it's difficult to find others not online who enjoy the same things. Basically, if you don't want to talk about the homoerotic subtextual love affairs of television characters or book genres I have nothing to contribute to a conversation). And I was ecstatic the other say when I woke up and not only wanted to write, but I had an idea of what to write, for the first time in, god, years. It's awesome. I hope this doesn't go away. Years long writer's block is not fun at all. And apparently I write best right now in second person. It just sort of flows.
Other things: I've been watching a lot of old Star Trek episodes. Apparently my geekiness is old school. And I already knew sci-fi tv was my thing so this fits right in there.
Tomorrow I plan to go to a nearby museum to look at a geology exhibit for extra credit for my class. I have been doing a ridiculous amount of outdoor forest-y type things this summer (well, two things, but that's a lot for me!) and now I'm apparently adding lots of museums to that tally of copious-things-I-did-this-summer. I like museums, though, so that'll be fun.
...And now I think I should go to sleep. I'm losing the thread of this post a bit. Good night, flist!
