I got an envelop in the mail from my college yesterday afternoon and it turns out I got into their honor society, Phi Theta Kappa! You get in if you have a certain gpa (at least 3.5. I have a 3.7) and you have to keep your grade up to stay in. It's making me really nervous now, because I can get great scholarships when I transfer to a four-year ( Read more... )

Congratulations! That is so awesome! And don't freak out - 1) you made it in the first place, which means you're capable so 2) there's no need to feel pressure.

Thank you! :D I'm so happy that I got in! I hope I can keep it up and get a good amount of scholarship money.

gpa = grade point average. It's how well you're doing grade-wise really. The highest you can get is a 4.0 at my college and I have a 3.7 (I did not know this until a few days ago so I'm kind of still excited about it). And honor society is just what it sounds like. You get in if you get good grades. ...okay, I suck at explanations, so I'll just stop now. It's hard to explain something I sort of take for granted. :/

lol, yeah. And I looked on the bookshelf, too! Silly textbook, hiding behind my larger notebook. I figured it'd be big enough to see without moving everything around, but I was wrong.

Oh, wow! I never understood what a gpa was, so thanks for explaining it (and quite well). I cannot believe you have a 3.7! That is so fantastic! I hope you're incredibly happy with that. That's such a fantastic achievement.

Should feel too bad about the textbook, I lost my text book today, went all around house, look in bookbags( I share this book with my sister) turn out it was on my bed.
