It isn’t easy being evil.

Assassinations. Death threats. Getting stubborn blood out of clothing. Grocery store runs. Dishes. Living with a band of lethal lunatics. Caring for a psychotic 15-year-old with a penchant for dismemberment. Paperwork.

Lina Techov’s orderly life disappeared when she took the job of nursemaid to crooked businessman Howard Still’s murderous daughter, Sadie. Now she has to do her job, deal with rampant manslaughter, and rein in her coworkers-attractive sociopath Cay and cold mastermind James-all while solving a mystery and trying to stay alive.

She isn’t the first one to deal with these problems. Five years ago, Gabrielle Watson was in Lina’s place. A gentle widow with no taste for violence, she took care of Sadie, then a shy, highly intelligent ten-year-old who wanted nothing more than to get away from her father’s brutal machinations. As Gabrielle was drawn further into the web of lies and cruelty that surrounded the Stills, she began to realize that a greater plan was afoot-a plan that she might not survive.

Two stories, two mysteries, and two very different versions of one girl. What catastrophic event tore apart innocent lives and drove Sadie to insanity? And what must be done to stop it from happening again?

Surreal and violent, Dangerous People showcases the lives and interpersonal relationships of a cast of villains, proving that not only heroes have stories, and that not all evil was born that way.
