the day that didn't go as expected

Well so much for that trip to the cities. The morning started off with an army of phone calls, none that ended in a positive light. When Renee said that she had already made plans... I called Bailey and we hooked up. We went to WG's and I printed some pics. Then we had nothing to do. I gave Bailey a bag of PB M&Ms (aka PBM's) and we headed up to Two Harbors - after taking a small unexpected detour around the scenic route. We parked at DQ and I had to potty. We went into Blackwoods to go and then we decided to walk to the lake. We walked past Sherman the Golden Retriever who had just been enjoying a nice swim in the kiddie pool. A couple feet away was Rex, the angry black lab. We met some T-Harb natives and continued on our venture. We knew that if we continued southish (from where we were) that we would hit lake. We ventured left once seeing a large ore plant type thing. We went into a cute little gift shop and bought bracelets. The lady working was just awesome and old and slow and strange. W3rd. I was developing blisters... 4 to be exact. We were doing more walking than expected. We eventually reached the breakwater and meandered out to the lighthouse. After passing by Baxter and his owner, Myrtle, we talked about manatees and baby beluga to make the long walk shorter. We passed by a pug-hua-hua named Dildo and I was assulted by a 2 year old and her fist. Sitting on the ledge of the lighthouse we found ourselves being attacked by small gnat-like bugs. We took a few pics:

After leaving the breakwater, the parking lot was filled with harbgulls. We befriended an obese baby harbgull named Winthrup. He was a heafty young fellow. Our legs were worn out so we found a nice shaded bench to sit on and indulge ourselves in PBM's. Suddenly we were greeted by a happy little Franklin's Ground Squirrel. He was a happy little guy we named Kevin. Kevin likes PBM's:

Kevin ran away a few times, but was happy to come back and recieve more PBM's

We even taught Kev to do aerial tricks!

Needless to say we spent like 30+ mins sitting in the grass and getting to know our new friend Kevin. After Kev was full, we decided we should make our way back to DQ. Before we left we ran into Alphonse.

What a trooper.

We passed some more friendly T-Harb natives and even saw one die... Poor Mama Riley. No for real... there was an elderly woman on the ground and paramedics came... kinda scary. We hiked past the old T-Harb HS and saw the Vegetable Patch ;) There was honestly a Veggie patch.... WHY? Who knows. Eventually we made it back to my car and left T-Harb.

We then went to Bou in the canal. We were greeted by cute little Pre-Teens asking for cigs. We said we didn't have any and one decided to sweeten the pot by adding "If you give me a cigarette I'll eat you out." I just laughed. We got a Poma-Mango and I had to sit cuz my blisters were aching. WE people watched, and creeper watched. The little pre-teens did in fact get their cigs and one was not shy at all when he walked by and said "I like you ladies!" Loserface ring a bell?? Yeah I thought so... We then walked, me without shoes, and headed back to my car soon after. We went to Bee's house and collapsed on her floor. We departed about an hour after we just lay there, dead.

I wish the MOA trip would have been a success, but T-Harb was second best?
