(no subject)
Its been 2 weeks since I've moved to Chicago.
Positives:
- I have 3 jobs.
- One of those jobs pays me 11.75/hr to carry a gun.
- I make a grand total of 4200 dollars a month.
- That credit card made my credit score go up 100 points.
- I've found plenty of really nice apartments.
- I've put only 15 dollars in my gas tank since I have been here.
- I can walk whenever and to where ever I want
- Coffee Shops are in an over-abundance
- Cute girls are also in an over-abundance
- Girls are completely obvious around here(no beating around the bush about what they like)
- I have only used about 200 dollars since I came here.(which is how much I spend on gas alone for work)
- My plan for the rest of my life is starting to unfold.
- Jeff and I are starting a two man acoustic project with the most beautiful sound I have ever experienced.
- I've played guitar for hours on end every single day that I have been here and I really can tell that I have made some massive progress.
- I've found out that the state of Michigan does not even teach the kind of law that I wanted to study.
- There is an amazing Vintage shop down in Addison(wrigleyville). Its like a shopping mall of amazing clothes and very nice people.
- I've even become better at skateboarding.
Negatives:
- This place at night scares the living piss out of me.
- I work 3 jobs.
- It's lonely as hell here.
- I'm missing my niece being born.
- My friends back in Detroit always talk about how they think my new friends in Chicago are gonna replace them soon, yet they never have any time to talk.
- I need to quit one of my jobs by next Friday because two of them are going to over lap.
- I don't have anyone to go get coffee with here.
- I've been forced to settle with a small studio apartment because I don't have enough for most down payments on 1 bedrooms.
- I have the worst feeling in my stomach that none of my friends are ever going to come out here.
- I really need some friends but me being so shy...makes it pretty damn difficult to even look someone in the eye.
- I tried out for a band out here but they ended up being terrible and have even more terrible personalities.
- I miss Linda's, coffee with my friends and partying until the sun came up.
- Sometimes I find myself wishing I wouldn't have found a job out here at all so I could just move back.
I'm far more stubborn than anyone that I have ever met and I have the hardest time quitting anything. So, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be here forever.
