HOLIDAY WEEKEND FATALITY!
This is probably the most time I've ever spent on one holiday, specifically a non halloween/Christmas holiday. It's was Friday to Monday non stop Holiday cheer. Friday was head down to San Diego day in Gabe's truck which smells like sour meat. Friday night was a dinner for Jennifer's Birthday at a restaurant in Pacific Beach called Shades. Met her boyfriend other-Bryan more officially. Actually got to have mini conversations with him. Like him more than the other guy. Lobster Bisch was delicious. Cous-cous salad left something to be desired.. probably because I think cous-cous is a warm dish not a cold salad dish. Always good to see the Johnsons.
Saturday was beach time at Mission bay with the Johnsons. Hung out there Near the Aquatic center. There was much frivolity and eating. On top of that we play numerous lawn games, paddle ball, boccie ball, ladder ball, and card games, guillotine and bullshit. I caught a little sun mainly because it was cold and lieing on the ground was the best way to stay warm without expending any energy. When I finally got onto the catamaran I guess my sun screen's application was on the edge of done because I got awkward sun burns on my legs and face. It was the type of sun burn that I didn't feel until I got back to the condo and headed for the hot tub. Then it became incredibly clear as to what was going on. Finished the last University of Pheniox class... even if I roally screwed up the final exam I should still make it out with an A... Crossies.
Sunday was the sleep in day and the 3 hour bike ride day. Sound like a lot but it's not so bad as the Area around San diego's Mission bay is flat. A flat as flat can be... there's a joke about pre-teen girl chests in there but I'm tired. I think that the bike ride would have been just perfect if, half way through we'd stopped to either go to the beach, a restaurant, or something that would have allowed a break from the bike butt.. There has got to be a way that would make bike seat more comfortable. After that my mom and I made Stirfry that was quite delicious. I've got to start stir-frying more it's a nice way to eat noodles and vegetables. We watched Taken and the fireworks that night.
Monday again was sleep in day and then it was re arrange the furniture day plus replace the lock on the front door day. It ended around 4 with pack up and go day. The truck is slow but mighty when weighted down that much. Finally got to Murrieta around 6ish and hung out with Brandon, his sister Brittany, and her boyfriend Jared for a few hours. Food, guillotine and hot tub then carefully making my way back home.. completely missing the crazy traffic that was caused by the insane highspeed/lowspeed/I'm-an-idiot-and-gonna-run chase that occurred.
The news when I got home said that some guy started a high speed chace in a section of San Diego that ended a few miles north of Fullerton on the 15 freeway. Absolutely absurd. ANYWAY my mom and brother missed it by getting home before it started and I missed it by leaving Murietta around 10pm. Traffic had cleared up by then.
Tomorrow I head out to LA again, by way of Long Beach as I'm gonna hang out with Courtney for a short time. Then it's puppets musueme on Wednesday and DnD Thursday. I have to make a character... gah!! There's possible Brandon time in there on Wednesday as well as some Caroline time yet again this week. Estate sale in Riverside and hanging out with Rachel before she disappears off to San Fran in the coming week or two.
Need to Contact Dennis and see if the other childrens show gig with Flutterby puppets is still possible. Need to submit a black out day for Saturday to Fun and Discovery then.. OH SHIT SEND THEM THEIR CHECK!!!
