(no subject)
I've been reading recently. It's very nice. Right now I've got, Anne Rice Cry to Heaven and Jeff Lindsay Darkly Dreaming Dexter on tap. I'm looking to pick up the Gin Palace by Zola I think and look at it for stage adaptation. Gotta start working on some sort of writing since I'm hoping at some point to either start putting up puppet videos on the internet. That and at some point I'm hoping to have a company of players to go through and use stuff with. I am interested in the idea of useing scripts that have not been published at some point, A) to give new writers a chance and B) because they wouldn't have royalties set up yet so there could be less money involved in produceing the play.
A large part of me is thinking that I have to start doing street theatre. Perhaps getting people together to just go out and randomly hit up places... with little or no warning. Beaches with no warning would be easier I think. Any sort of larger institution, the Block for example would be a challenge.
Maybe no warning park plays. Of course the problem with the park is there's not necessarily any specific number of people there.
