I'm begining a slow attempt to read up on the different presidential candidates. I've sucribed myself to the NY Times, so everyday I get the headlines sent to me via e-mail. At this moment in time I was reading about a cross examination of General Petraeus (who is the top american commander in Baghdad). This most recent one the candidates are all pussyfooting and being careful to not insult the voters by being to for or against war. Figures, gotta try and find that middle ground to gain votes for the future.

What was interesting to me, or at least it tickled my fancy, was mention of the fact that Hilary Clinton has been much more vehement in the past.

"Mrs. Clinton never raised her voice or showed the passion she did at General Petraeus’s last Washington hearing, in September, when she told him that his Iraq report required “the willing suspension of disbelief.” The remark has since been hurled at her by her opponents."

I may just be a sucker for the dramatic, but the use of a theater term to describe the sharing of information between the people here in America and the situation in the middle east is just beautiful.

Need I speak on the topic of WMD's?
