Phineas Nigellus glared at the student who had been dragged before him. The only teacher that hadn’t lodged a complaint today was Binns… who, in all likelihood, wouldn’t notice if a bomb went off under his nose. Which- he checked his list- had in fact happened in Professor Fidjett’s class.

He pinched the bridge of his nose. “Do you have anything to say for yourself?”

The reply was, unsurprisingly, non-verbal.

“One more infraction and you will be expelled. I will not warn you again.”

The student scowled. “You’ll be sorry when I’m dead!”

“Of that, Peeves, I have no doubt.”
