We're all familiar with NPC (Non Player Character) bots... and if we're not, basically they're Unreal1 bots you can edit into your maps so they're always there, whether you have bots selected or not.

The idea to do this started when Jmartin recently said he was about all mapped out, and I suggested maybe he should try maps with UTDM-monsters in them... and while he didn't get back to me immediately, it got the gears going in my head to do... this ( Read more... )

They're not called that, but it's how I think of them. Use them to deal with truly tough monsters I setup a bunch for dealing with them.

Like a lot of players of UT99 every so often I get sick of it and stop playing, but unlike most of them (as I've learned) I don't uninstall it when I've stopped playing. This is for a variety of reasons but mostly I know I'll always come back to play it again some day ( Read more... )
