Every time he found a new clue on his case, he will end up on another dead end.
“Mark,” Darren shouted lightly, his other on the door knob.
To his surprised, his friend was busy swirling on his hair, stared blankly on the ceiling
A loud thump sound of files on his desk and Mark revert his eyes back to his desk.
“When did you come in?” He asked to his friend, surprised filling his tone.
Rolled his eyes back, a light huffed escaped his lips, “I was looking for you the entire time and here you are.”
His finger was pointing to Mark seat, “Daydreaming.”
“I’m not daydreaming,” Mark huffed.
“Mmmhmmm…,” Darren crocked his left eyebrow as he taking his seat.
Taking one of the file from his desk, Mark flipped it, reading the content silently.
“What are these files doing on my desk? A new clue?”
“Oh,” A dumbstruck tone came before he knew, a small smirk formed on his lips, “It’s my filling. I don’t have any new clue yet.”
“Thanks bro,” Mark threw the file back onto his desk, “Thanks for crushing my hope.”
Darren shook his head lightly, his lips smiled to his angry friend.
“I got better idea.”
Watching Darren facial expression, Mark can see right through his plan.
“You’re about to suggest us to follow James. Am I right?”
“From angry mob turned into a mind reader?” Darren chuckled sheepishly, “I’m impressed.”
Ignoring the look that Darren gave him, Mark continued, “Do you really think that’s a good idea?”
“It sure beat your daydreaming plan,” Another chuckled escaped from Darren.
“Okay,” Mark sighed, “Let’s go stalking James.”

“Where are we going tonight?” James followed closely from behind as Cale walked a little faster in the front.
Cale looked over his shoulder, a smiled creeped on his face, brought James to his side with one big swoop on the shoulder.
“Meeting my friend.”
“Your friend?” James stopped dead on his track, causing Cale frowned a little.
“What wrong?”
James sighed quietly.
“You promise me that you won’t pull another prank on me ever again.”
“James, I don’t.”
“Then why are we going to meet your friend, Cale?”
“James, I don’t plan to prank on you tonight.”
Leaning closer, Cales whispered on his face softly, “Trust me.”
“Whatever,” James huffed as he started walking all by himself, “Let’s get this thing over.”

Kris can’t help but smiled lightly when he saw the familiar face.
“Kris,” Cale laughed as they did their bro hand shake fist.
Kris nudged his head a little as he saw his friend wasn’t coming alone tonight.
“You’re James, am I right?”
James look dumb founded at Kris, making Kris laughed lightly.
“About time. I’m Kris.” Kris holds his hand out as James hold it back, “I’m James.”
“I know who you are,” Kris smirked as he watched Cale looking at the dance floor the moment he arrived at the club.
“Your friend here won’t shut up about you actually,” Kris looked at James expectantly.
“oh my gosh,” James cupped his face, taking his seat to the bar, “Don’t believe anything that he said, okay?”
“Why not? You’re taking care my friend at his office.”
James noticed Cale haven’t said a word ever since they arrived.
Wondered what the prank was about.
He shifted his attention back to Kris who still smiling at him.
“I’m not working with him anymore.”
“Because of the prank that he pulled out, isn’t it?”
“How did you know?” James surprised.
“Cale told me,” Kris shrugged lightly, his hand already busy mixing another order, “And I think you should come back to work for him.”
“Why should I,” James sighed.
“You didn’t know?” Kris drop his jaw upon James reaction,” I’ll be right back.”
“Wait,” James eyes followed Kris back, watching the guy busy taking order.
“Have you order your drink yet,” Cale asked as he took his seat next to James.
He wanted to dance but he didn’t want to do it all alone.
Cale noticed that James still looking at Kris.
“Do you like him?” Cale smiled making James blushed a little, “I can give his phone number if you want.”
Sighing silently, James pouted, “Cale, this is not the look that I gave if I’m interested in someone.”
Evil smirked creeped upon Cale cheeks, his eyes fixed on James face “Mind show to me the kind of face that you give if you are in love?”
“You’re an idiot,” James huffed lightly.
Kris back to his spot as he’s watching these two guys talking.
He found something interesting in Cale eyes.
Could it be…?
“Gentleman,” Kris broke their pity banter for a while, “Your order please.”
“A coke for James and the usual for me,” Cale replied quickly.
“Okay,” Kris turned around for a while as his hand continued mixing some drink for Cale.
“Cale, haven’t you told James yet?”
“Told me what?” James looked back and forth between Cale and Kris.
“That he hadn’t hire a new assistant yet,” Kris continued.
“Kris,” Cale clenched his jaw tight whispering, “I thought we agree not to say it in front of James.”
Kris shrugged as he put their order in front of James and Cale, “I’m helping you out. You’re welcome.”
“Wait…wait…wait,” James stepped in, “Is this true, Cale?”
Cale avoided his eyes back to the crowd sipping his drink quietly.
Typical Cale as James thought in his mind.
“That’s why you need to come back to work with him James,” Kris looked at James expectantly.
“I can’t,” James bored his eyes to Kris, “I already quit from my job.”
“Cale is too stubborn to get a new assistant. I know he already ask you to come back to work with him.”
“He did,” James answered quietly, “But I’m not ready. What if there’s people in that company pulling another prank on me?”
“You got Cale as ally this time around,” Kris answered fondly, “You have nothing to be afraid of.”
Looking over to Cale, Kris spoke loudly, “Pretty quite over there.”
“You guys are talking,” Cale putting his glass down, “I don’t want to disturb.”
Kris patted Cale shoulder lightly, his eyes smiling when Cale looked at him, “Go take James a spin or two on the dancefloor.”
“I don’t know how to dance,” James cut in, his worriedness drew on his face.
“Cale will help you out,” Kris encouraged again.
James looked at Cale only to find Cale stared at him blankly.
Cale grabbed onto his hand, dragging James along with him.
Kris shoot a small arrowed toward DJ table.
He wanted to know how far has Cale and his friend has comes.
As soon as Kris shot the arrow, a voice echoed from the back of Kris head.
“Hold it right there, cupid.”
