I regularly butter up Hermes, in his aspect of god of travel. A bottle of pricey olive oil and some wheat before a long trip tends to result in smooth travel.
I haven't done any personal-type magic for it, though, sorry.
Where I was going with this was working outside of the actual time that you need to fly to get to the bus, but if it's the bus itself that's running late, then I misunderstood your original post. Sorry about that!
In general, I tend to focus my workings far more on the high level - in this case, I'd focus on smooth transportation in general, and do the working at a convenient time elsewhere.
For on the fly stuff, however, have you thought about preparing a talisman that you can carry with you that's focused on making your commute smooth?
Very occasionally, I have spoken to a god for help; in their different ways, both Thor and Loki can be very helpful. But that isn't something I would want to do too often (Hey, could you help me out because I can't be arsed getting out the house on time? I think there might come a point when they would have something pointed to say.)
The other approach is to: be calm, and visualise myself getting (calmly, unflustered) to my destination.

I also do it when coming home, too, as city-centre traffic and odd bus times mean that I'm frequently very close to missing my connecting bus.
