Top 3 Films
1.Sin City
2.The Arisocrats
3.Wedding Crashers
(either I'm forgetting alot, or I really didn't see many movies this year...)
These movies were made prior to 2005, but got a north american release this year, and are awesome: OldBoy, Haute Tension
Were probably good, but I haven't yet seen them: King Kong, Batman Begins, Walk the line
Worst Film of easily the last 5 years: Last Days
2006 Aticipated: Jackass 2, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
Best New TV show: My Name is Earl
TV Discovery of the year: Aqua Teen Hunger Force/Brak
TV moment of the year: Final sequence of the final episode of "Six Feet Under". eeeep.
Biggest TV Disappointment: Seemingly no more Chapelle's Show or Arrested Development.
Most absolutely ridiculous fashion trend: Punk Rock Androgyny. Those are girls jeans, your hair looks like a 14 year old girl raver from 1997 and nobody is shocked by your eyeliner. If you have any sense at all you'll look back at this painful stage in your life and be emabrassed.
Dearly Departed: Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, Mitch Hedberg, Richard Pryor, Derrick Plourde, Johnny Carson, Mr. Miyagi.
I don't really feel like doing the other catagories from previous years.
Everything I bitched about before still sucks now, and the stuff I like still stands.
This year I travelled alot (Montreal, London, New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, Berkley, Emeryville, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Inglewood, Las Vegas, Hotlanta, etc).
I got more into Toy Collecting and back into Comics, as far as hobbies go.
I've also realized how much I actually really enjoy writing and clever use of the english language.
I went through a ton of money this year.
I caved and got a myspace account.
The band that wouldn't die, FCC, played a record low amount of shows this year, and was out of commission for about 6 months, but are now poised for our most exciting (and hopefully successful) year yet.
My amount of amusing drunk stories has grown about tenfold.
I've started work on: songs for a new FCC album, a Mini-Comic, a Movie script (that I never intend to make, mind you) and atleast 2 studio-only music sideprojects. (you can bring all these up in a couple years, and with increasingly high-pitched voices, ask me how they're coming along...)
Here's to 2006 being productive, exciting and happy.
cheers, bitches.
