We don't really like Artrocker. It's a smug little bumlick of a magazine most of the time*. I mean, we all get pretty bummy (more so when people you talk about become your mates) but the whole mag is just too self absorbed, too in love with the scene of its own creation. I love the idea of indietronica. Indie crossed with leftfield electronic music I guess is the idea. Except, sorry, what are the boundaries of both genres? Indie is pretty much anything with guitars and songs that isn't too loud or too jagged, leftfield music is anything where the live instruments are just a small part of the general mix but isn't ( Read more... )
