As you know I've always loved Bearsuit, since the moment I first got their Cat Spectacular album home, one of the best From A Review purchases of my ever. As you also know I was a massive fan of Zoo Psychology by Ex Models and wish more music was a cut 'n' fucked good.
Which brings us, explitives handy, to the latest Bearsuit single, Stephen Fucking Spielberg. Oh my gosh how good are the b-sides to that. They're absolutely mental. That's the genius of Bearsuit. I don't know if they actually have melodies and yet they're pop, I don't know what their music is supposed to be doing, it just throws itself, all of it, directly into your face like some sort of boiling hot underdone chocolate chip pancake. It's riotous and cute, barbed and bouncy, it's insane and we love it. Never a dull moment and with the second song on the single, the dizzying Shhh Get Out, weighing in at a dinky 1:21, never a note dropped.
