Well, the funeral went ok. Actually no, it went great, the best it could have done. It was very sad when they first brought the coffin out. I know it sounds depressing but it's just so hard to think of someone that has been such a close family friend in a box. I can completely see now why my Nan's best friend Edna couldn't stand and watch her be lowered into the ground now. It's such a hard thing to do. Anyway, the service was lovely. I think what really got me was the fact that Doris decided that she wanted the hymns sung that they had at their wedding fifty five years ago. When the vicar said that was the hymns that were from their wedding I just broke down. It was so so sad. The Church was full which was what she wanted so I'm really glad it all turned out like she wanted it to. Then I think what really hit me was when we were going over to the cemetery. I just got a sudden flashback to when we were burying my Nan. It seemed like an all too vivid memory and when they lowered him down into the ground I just fell to pieces. Of course too I was so dumb, I put non-waterproof mascara on so I looked like a right mess :/ Was absolutely devastated. Doris broke her heart bless her. It's so upsetting to see one of  your good friends in tears and knowing you can't stop them :( Anyway we gave her a big hug, told her we loved her and she hugged us back. We went back for a drink too and she seemed to be coping well, but it's the end of the day when she has to go home on her own that it all comes to a head I guess. When we got in Doris had arranged for everyone to have a glass of Sherry as soon as they walked in which was lovely. So me and Mum got a sherry. Sadly, Mum went doolally on it hehehe and she got it into her head that Richard, Doris and Fred's Grandson, who's 13 months younger than me no less! had some sort of crush on me (keeping in mind this is at a wake! *shakes head at Mum*) To be fair though he did keep looking my way. Aaaaand if I tell the truth he is *very* cute and we always got on as kids too. I feel like a midget at the side of him now though cos he's like six foot tall at least now and there's me here that's 5'6 at most! He's changed so much and is lovely. But totally off topic and not the point that I do find him particularly goooooorgeous and yummy *whistles innocently* So yes keeping in mind this is at his Grandfather's wake. I was just like doing my best to keep GiddyMum away from Richard LMAO but all in all it was a great day.

On a brighter note, I got my timetable for Uni today and I must admit that it's rather good. The earliest I start is quarter past nine and the latest I finish is quarter past two. How much does that rock?! This is my timetable:

Monday 9:15-10:15 Introduction to Stylistics (odd weeks)
12:15-1:15 Introduction to Stylistics (even weeks)
1:15-2:15 Introduction to Narrative (odd weeks) or Poetry and Drama (even weeks)

Tuesday 9:15-10:15 Contemporary Writing (odd weeks) ot Literary Histories (even weeks)
11:15-12:15 Literary Histories
12:15-1:15 Approaches to Literature

Wednesday 9:15-10:15 Introduction to Poetry and Drama
10:15-11:15 Introduction to Narrative

Thursday 10:15-11:15 Approaches to Literature Lecture (odd weeks)
12:15-1:15 Contemporary Writing and Culture

And then this is the best bit. I HAVE FRIDAYS OFF!!! WAHOOOOO, I HAVE A THREE DAY WEEKEND!!!

So I'm fairly happy with that one. Sometimes on a Thursday I'll only have to be in for an hour. Wow, this timetable is brilliant. So I'm happy about that. At least something is good today huh? :D
