It's somewhat amusing how something so relevent to my last post has recently happened.
The situation is this:
A former friend of mine, who I had played a game with, had stolen a noteworthy amount of in-game money from my account. (Valued at over $1000 USD)
Recently, the same person has done something similar to someone I know.
Obviously, this guy knows what he is doing is wrong. However he takes these actions because he fears no repercussions. He is willing to only come out ahead. To him, the end will justify the means.
If he must hurt others for his own profit, he will.
It's funny to think about it like this, but when he is watching a movie, or playing a video game, does he often root for the bad guy to win? Does he purposfully make his character die to villans in RPGs?
I just don't understand why people are willing to give up what they know is right for what is wrong.
