I had to put my baby to sleep last night.  16 years old, diabetic (which was totally under control) and as we found out cancer.  It was her time she was telling me and for a week I didn't realize but when I saw her last night (after the count down to her execution) she wouldn't look at me... she just looked away.  She was in pain and there was

Jean, I sobbed when I read that.
I know how hard it is. I'm glad you're being strong about it. It hurts when someone you love is in pain and you can't do anything to save them from it.
Casey is watching over you, and she can still feel your love. Be comforted by the fact that she is no longer hurting...and you did what you could.

i'm so sorry jean...my mom sends her thoughts too...i told her about casey..and well you know, with our cat we pretty much know how much she meant to you.
