Got an email from my father, saying that my mom went through the surgery yesterday to remove the cancerous tumor from her tongue. They removed the 2cm tumor and about 1cm of surrounding tissue. Only about a half dollar sized piece. It was not neccesary for the plastic surgeon to take a part of her bicep to replace the missing piece of her tonge. They also removed the lymths from her neck. And are running tests on them because one was slightly enlarged. All test so far show that all of the cancer was removed and everything is looking good. They had to put a tube down her throat because her tongue swole up so much. We are keeping our fingers crossed and praying that all remaining test return with nothing but great results.

Here in Iraq, I will be changing jobs soon. That unfortunately means that I will be unable to get on the computer as much. Please don't erase me as a friend. I try to read whenever I can and comment when possible. The plus is that I will be away from the hospital and all the sights I have to witness here. They like to rotate our jobs so that everyone has experience working in each section.
