It couldn't have been earlier, well, it could have been but awake staff was far less irritable. The office itself was rather large, if one were go through the entrance they would directly ahead of them notice the principal's desk, a fine cherry wood desk containing a certain earthy majesty about it. A little gold plaque read "Principal Theodriek Wulflehrer" in crisp black letters. Behind the desk in a swivel leather chair sat the Principal himself, hands clasped atop the desk, a closed black laptop off to the side on this antique desk with his intercom taking up space on the opposite side. Behind the seated German was a large glass window, perfect for pushing people out of, flanked on either side by an impressive collection of books in matching oak wood book cases.
To either side of the room were degrees and awards for this and that, along with a large bear, stuffed and posed in dramatic effect. It was the school mascot after all, well, during it's life time it had been a fish eating woods monster, but the symbolic significance was there. A binder was laid open on his desk above where his hands rested, the binder itself quite thick enough to give anyone a concussion. This was both a small meeting and a friendly get together by the stoic figure. Sniffing the binder was a cinnamon colored ferret, pawing at a little treat that had been left on those laminated pages to keep him busy. It was Theod's messenger ferret, when note slips required hand delivering or school mice needed eating, this duty went to Theod's messenger ferret. The juxtapose between the cute wiggly ferret and the stern blond behind it could be called quite amusing.
The importance of todays meeting was to receive the teachers lesson plans and for everyone to have at least one meeting as they were all school staff. Despite any individual relationships, the blond wanted for them to come together as a group for it would be they facing the hoards of little minds ready to learn. This was a time for hellos and good luck, for a pep talk, for reminders, and for coffee and breakfast sandwiches which he had specified be brought up just for them so they might relax a little more before the day began. These foodstuffs were set on the right of the room, laid out atop a wood table with its many slender unopened drawers. If the concept of having a meeting didn't draw in their interest, hopefully at least the smell of food would.
