More SXSW
I now have bands peer pressuring me to go to SXSW. Well, a band. But there might be more.
Mostly because every show I see with Wes ends in us introducing ourselves to the band, listing off the times we've seen them before (where applicable), then Wes asking if they're going to SXSW. Then they say "yes, are you!" and he says "for sure!" and I say "I'm still thinking about it." And if last night was any indication, the stock response to that is "you have to go! There are all these free shows and it's so much fun. Here, I don't remember which shows we're playing but let me get your e-mail address and I'll let you know." Then they follow me back on Twitter.
We don't have too many more shows planned but knowing how friendly Wes and bands are, I'm probably going to have a list of people expecting me* at their shows. And I made Wes a shirt that says "Hi Paul" as a joke, so now he's making me a "Hi Nils" shirt so we can team-stalk RAA at SXSW.
*that girl who hangs out with Wes and seems friendly enough
So, anyone want to share a ride to Austin or a hotel room once I get there? Let's do this thing.
