I actually don't have a lot to say about today, as I was on a plane most of the day. But I did get in some practice with the Canon D10 underwater rig as soon as I got here, in the EIGHT swimming pools (all on different levels, connected by water slides). Here's a 40 second clip from the natural rock pool:
Anyhow, after that I waded out of the pool and on to the hotel's beach, and then figured, why stop there? I headed chest deep in to the water, and snapped this pic as the sun was just starting to set in the sky.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, but I also have 5 more nights to get some other sunset/sunrise pics as well. Which means you can probably expect at least 1 per day.
After it got dark my room still wasn't ready so I headed out for dinner to give the resort time to figure it out. I ate at a place called "Cheese Burger" which had (duh!) amazing cheeseburgers. I got mine "island style" with grilled pineapple and smothered in teriyaki sauce, and chased it down with a pineapple smoothie. (When in Rome, right?) After dinner I headed back to the hotel and they were able to get me in a suite, but it was a double. Ah well, more room for my crap, I guess. (I am supposed to get a new suite tomorrow.) Here's one of my infamous "room tour" vids. Sorry about the ocean view; I didn't get my room until *after* sunset, remember?

Tomorrow I'm getting up early and heading out with a model to one of Maui's nude beaches for our first of 1 or 2 (maybe more) shoots together; depending on how well the first one goes. I'm excited to shoot on location out here, and we're also looking in to some mansion shoots as well. It also kind of depends on how much corporate work I have while I'm here. (Secretly you don't get an all-expenses paid trip to this kind of hotel without doing *some* boring work.) But yeah, I have quite a bit planned with some nude models and this fabulous island.
Stay tuned for more posts as I have time.
Cheers!
