I started the day frustrated.  More than one reason was to blame.  Of all the problems in the world, mine was having too many videogames.  And the frustration wasn’t from any one particular game with a difficult section.  It was the indecisiveness of where to begin.

To tackle this dilemma head-on, I walked away.  The advice of my better half swayed me.  A pleasant afternoon stroll was the answer.  And she was kind of right.

The beams of the sun showered down on my skin.  The subtly refreshing air invaded my lungs.  It was a calling from nature to let her back in.  Like a lost dog finding his way back home.  I couldn’t envision a nicer looking day.  The sky was so clear that it resembled a painting of serenity.

The faint, oh so faint sounds of birds were in the distance.  The slightest bit of noise would surely distract from it.  But for the person with patience and a clear mind, it was a relaxing reward for wanting something deeper.

Looking beyond the surface is a trait that I feel is lacking, within myself and others.  Here I am, and what do others see?  I couldn’t answer for certain but I’d wager it isn’t what is really inside me.
