IC Information:
Name: Mytho || Prince Siegfried
Fandom:  Princess Tutu
Timeline: End of episode 8
Age:  Unknown, but he appears 16 or 17 and has for a while now.
Appearance:

Mytho has white hair that falls around his face in layered soft spikes and amber colored eyes.  He's slightly on the pale side but his skin has a healthy flush to it.  Standing at 160cm (5'3") he's rather skinny and weighs in at 45kg (99.2lbs) and his slim frame gives him a great figure for ballet, although it's said that his dancing has now emotions behind it.  While he usually wears his school uniform around, Mytho also has a black and white dance outfit, along with a blue and white outfit that looks like it belongs to royalty.  However it's not strange to see Mytho in nothing but his white school shirt as he lounges around.

An important note:  Mytho started the series without a heart (literally), he was found and assumed dead because he had no pulse.

Abilities:

Mytho is skilled with a sword which he wields with deadly accuracy even after years of not touching it. He excels at ballet and while his techniques are flawless his dancing lacks any sort of emotion behind it. These physical strengths are demonstrated when Mytho sees someone in need and he can rush into fires without a second thought. All of this is due to the fact that Mytho feels no pain even though it’s evident he should. Bruises, scratches, twisted limbs don’t hurt at all but he is very well aware that they happened indicating that he does still feel something physically and realizes it isn’t right.

He’s rather adept at sensing his own lost emotions and is often drawn to them and the people who feel the same. Despite that he lacks the will to go against them and unless saved Mytho would spend forever with those people. Most of Mytho’s other abilities are locked away with the rest of his heart as he sacrificed them and his own heart to seal away the Raven. He won’t gain these back until his heart is completely returned.

Personality:

Mytho is the heroic type, often placing himself into dangerous situations to help those in need and thinking nothing of it. However you won’t find him making any speeches or organizing a group to do anything as he tends to either trudge on alone or follow behind someone else. He easily bends to the will of other people on most topics and may even willingly go somewhere with a complete stranger. If a situation or conversation doesn’t feel right to him, Mytho will argue against it, getting frustrated with the person and even walk away from them yet he’d never intentionally become physical with them. It’s rare for him to become completely defiant and make choices for himself but he is capable of doing what needs to be done.

There are several people who are important to him and he cares for them deeply enough to try and listen to their words and advice but it may not last long as Mytho tends to be overly curious. Something will catch his attention and it may lead to him wandering away to figure out what it is. This also involves him continuously asking questions that may very well pry into deep and very personal subjects of others around him. He’s rather oblivious to the emotions of others and identifies certain facial expressions with a feeling and if he can’t name it on his own he will ask what people are feeling out-right. There’s no feeling of embarrassment or shame when there’s a moment that clearly calls for it and he more than likely will not apologize unless someone points it out to him. The best way to describe him is emotionally stunted.

History:

Originally Mytho was a prince in Drosselmeyer's story The Prince and the Raven. The evil raven attacked his kingdom and the prince, along with his trusted knight, went to battle the fearsome creature. During the fight the knight was sliced in two, killing him in the midst of the fray. While the prince and the raven battled on the pages Drosselmeyer's powers were feared by the townspeople and they sliced off his hands, leaving the story seemingly unfinished. Yet the raven fled from the pages of the book and the prince followed in order to seal the creature away. In order to do this the prince shattered his heart and the pieces were used to not only trap the creature in this small gown but also most of his powers.

The prince wandered with no name, no emotions and no home of his own until he passed out. A young boy by the name of Fakir found him and carried him back to his house where Fakir and his guardian both thought him dead as he had no heartbeat. Eventually he was named Mytho and met a young girl by the name of Rue who he saw a lot of. It didn't take long for Fakir to realize that Mytho would risk his own life to save those less fortunate. This caused Fakir to take on the position of protector even from an early age and continued on.

As time passed Fakir grew older and even more protective while Mytho remained the same in his puppet-like state and even physically. Mytho became acquainted with a young girl named Rue and she would often come to steal him away from Fakir's careful watch. Eventually they enrolled in Kinkan Academy, Mytho joined Fakir in his quest to study ballet and he became skilled in the area although his dancing lacked any passion behind it. This dancing attracted the attention of a duck who wanted more than anything to seem Mytho smile. The duck was given human shape and the power of Princess Tutu by Drosselmeyer to restore Mytho's heart.

His first encounter with this new person in his life was early one morning as he danced alone in one of the school classroom. Ahiru came into the room thinking she was late. Here she watched him dance briefly and in her clumsiness tripped, but before she could hit the floor Mytho's protective instinct took a hold of him and he caught her, injuring himself in the process. It was then when Fakir entered the room, looking for Mytho and seeing the scene before him. Escorting Mytho back to their dorm the boy spent several days healing and staying away from classes. During one of those days he climbed onto the window-sill of their third story dorm room where he could see a bird's nest on the roof. The baby birds were learning how to fly and he watched as the first two successfully took flight. A single one was left in the nest when a raven swooped down and disrupted it, without thinking Mytho jumped out of the window to catch it not considering the drop and pain he'd suffer of falling three stories to the pavement below. Across the courtyard watching him from her window was Ahiru and her wish to save him allowed her to transform into Princess Tutu for the very first time. Her abilities created a bed of flowers for Mytho to land in safely and it was their first of many meetings.

The first emotion he got back was hanging around with an anteater girl who wanted to be the best in the class. Yet when she challenged Rue the girl knew that she had failed and became even more frustrated alerting Princess Tutu to the presence of a shard of Mytho's heart. She sought the girl out and asked her to dance. Through dancing the girl released her frustration and the fragment went to Princess Tutu. Mytho, drawn by his own emotion, appeared at that moment and Tutu returned it to him.

Things continued in this manner and Mytho willingly accepted all the emotions Princess Tutu collected for him. However when she returned his fear everything seemed to change. To Mytho it seemed that all of his feelings were connected to Princess Tutu, so when fear took hold of him it was a fear of Princess Tutu. In order to stop her from returning Mytho's emotions Fakir abandoned school and they stayed in an old mill. When Fakir left him alone he thought Mytho had been asleep he woke up shortly, got up from bed and went to the water's edge as he was drawn by one of his emotions that lay deep inside the canal. Confused by his new-found emotions Mytho sank into the water where he was saved by Princess Tutu. She explained why she wanted to return his heart and that she had never wanted it to hurt and Mytho accepted her quest.

Yet the return of his curiosity was interrupted when Princess Kraehe came down to snatch the shard up. An enemy had appeared on the scene who wanted to stop the process, to keep Mytho the way he was without emotions. It wasn't just Rue who wanted him to stay an empty shell but Fakir as well. Fakir searched out the Prince's sword to shatter Mytho's heart into pieces again. All the players came together where they all expressed their opinions in a dramatic fashion which Kraehe fled from Fakir's sword. As Fakir moved to pierce Mytho's heart Tutu intervened knocking the weapon from his hand and the two got into a physical struggle. Mytho picked up the discarded sword intending to shatter his heart again but in the end he chose to have his emotions returned by Princess Tutu.

Roleplay Sample - Log:

It was weird.  To not feel a soft breeze ruffling his hair, to not feel the warmth of the sun on his skin, to be sitting beneath the shaded tree with his back pressed into the brown bark alone.  It was weird, wasn't it?  All he knew what that it wasn't what was normal, there were things missing - people who'd been there as long as he could remember were absent and nothing more than a faint memory.  There was that feeling that came with all the thoughts of what was gone, that aching feeling that seemed to have burned a hole straight through his chest.

What could he do to make it stop?  Was there even anything he could do?  Mytho wasn't sure and there was no one around to ask at the moment.  Rising gracefully from the spot he'd picked out he wandered away from the tree.  Through the twists and turns of the white hallways he made his way to the large room with the giant music box.  Pressing a few buttons he managed to get the karaoke machine playing, a song with words, but it made no difference to him.

He didn't sing, didn't even bother to look at the words appearing on the screen.  Instead he slide down to rest against it feeling the beat of the music thrum through his body.  Like a heartbeat, like a steady pulse of a human being he could almost sense an artificial life in the machine.  Slowly his eyes closed letting the melody of the music mix seamlessly with his breathing pattern.  It may not have the same affect as a human or even animal life but it was still soothing.  Soothing enough to fall asleep here on the floor propped up by the machine.

Roleplay Sample - Journal:

[As he was turning it over, inspecting it, pressing buttons, being generally curious the video feature flicks on revealing white.  Lots of white.  Of course the room and bed sheets are white but so is this kid's hair and the shirt he's wearing - which is all he's wearing.  Mytho peers at the screen curiously.]

This isn't school.  It's somewhere new.

[His hand goes to his collar but he doesn't seem uncomfortable with it as Mytho lets his hand fall back down.  Standing from the bed he wanders away moving to look inside the closet - like any closet there are clothes inside but he merely closes it again.  Turning he spots the door, before turning to pick up the faciliberry.]

Let's explore, music box.  Maybe we'll meet someone interesting or familiar.

[With that he heads out the door, not even bothering to get dressed.]
