Since October's drawing to a close, and I'd sort of unofficially dubbed October as "torture Yuuta month", I just had to sneak in a first shot at
30_tortures before November makes itself known. >:D
Probably PG or PG-13, and written for theme number four, "Worst Nightmare", this piece explores the very, very worst thing that could ever happen to Yuuta.
>:D
Fuji Yuuta knew he was dreaming, because he was watching himself from several feet behind and above his own head. He thus knew that none of this was real, and he knew that when he woke up, he would appreciate his actual life oh so much more - a billion times more, a trillion, and then numbers he couldn't even begin to conceptualise! - but even though it wasn't real, it didn't stop the burning, burning, awful feeling of embarrassment fused with despair that was concentrated somewhere just north of his stomach. His stomach in the dream, anyway. Well, the stomach of the real him who was watching his dream self. Although, this dream was so awful, who knew what was 'real' anymore? Certainly not Yuuta, although he fervently, fervently hoped that this wasn't. Anything else - anything else - being real would have been fine. Absolutely fine.
Why couldn't he wake up?! He was sending his self who was watching the dream signals to pinch himself, but all he seemed able to do was watch events unfold, his face frozen in a silent scream. Yuuta wished he could turn off the silencer, because then maybe the force of the scream would wake him up - maybe it would count as one of those dream moments that were too terrifying to experience and he'd wake up, sweating and gasping and grasping at the covers for something comforting and real to hold.
But no.
"We're going to have to tell them, Yuuta," Shuusuke says, with what he probably intends to be a comforting arm on Yuuta's back.
"No! We're not going to be doing that! Absolutely not!" Dream Yuuta says, with comedy arm flailing. His expression is anything but comedic, though. "And don't you dare even think about telling them without my consent, either! We're telling no one."
"But Yuuta, this could be dangerous for you." Shuusuke is ever the voice of reason. Terrible, terrible reason. "We don't know what sorts of complications there could be, and mmn, people will start to notice soon, don't you think?"
Yuuta glares mutinously, but nods ever so slightly. Aniki's arm is still around him, and Real Yuuta tries sending him thought pulses to turn round and bite it and not let go. He'd deserve it, after all.
"So how exactly do you propose we tell them, then? You better do it, because I still don't understand how this happened."
Real Yuuta wishes he could at least influence Dream Yuuta's speech, because if he is having to live through this twisted nightmare, he could at least have some fun in hamming it up. But alas, it is not meant to be - although, it is probably best that Dream Yuuta still has at least a small shred of dignity left; making him have traditional histrionics here would leave him with nothing.
Still, though, Real Yuuta thinks that Dream Aniki (or heck, Real Aniki as well) could do with a good dose of "You did this to me, you bastard!" and be forced to do something about it other than chuckle and then keep on doing it. Unfortunately, Yuuta knows that even if aniki were to experience this same dream, he would think the entire predicament funny, and would not learn a lesson in treating Yuuta better at all.
"We're just going to have to tell them the truth, Yuuta," Shuusuke says, slowly and annoyingly patiently. "Anything else could put you and the baby at risk."
Dream Yuuta explodes. "Baby? Baby?! What on earth makes you think I'm keeping it?!"
Shuusuke looks wounded, and so it begins.
"But it's the culmination of our love for each other!" He removes his arm from Yuuta's back, finally, and hugs himself instead. Both Yuutas know that really, he's smirking. "And wouldn't you always be wondering what could have happened?"
Dream Yuuta thinks about this for a nanosecond.
"No. I'd always be thinking 'Oh, thank God for that'."
"But Yuuta, I'll support you - we can make a home together, and raise our child, and -"
"No."
Real Yuuta is very, very glad that Dream Yuuta has not fallen for this and gone mushy on him. Anyone who wanted to have a family with aniki was quite clearly insane, and they'd raise insane children together in a house of madness, and no one would be safe anymore.
"And don't you dare neglect to mention your part in this and then pull an 'Oh, I'll help Yuuta out' act and leave yourself looking like a saint."
Aniki pretends to look wounded. "I'll be claiming full responsibility, Yuuta. And you say that as if you look anything less than saintly! This is a miracle!"
"Of course I don't look like a saint!" Real Yuuta wants Dream Yuuta to growl threateningly here. "I'm thirteen and pregnant! I'm thirteen and pregnant and a guy! I'm thirteen and pregnant and a guy and my brother's the father! What part of this sounds saintly to you?"
Aniki has the good grace to laugh nervously. But then he ruins it by saying, "You shouldn't let yourself get so worked up - stress can't be good for you in your condition."
Dream Yuuta actually does bite Shuusuke now, and Real Yuuta cheers, although his projection in the dream world is still stuck in a silent scream.

"So what is it you need to tell us?" Fuji Yoshiko asks, looking concerned. "You sound so serious, Shuusuke."
"It's about Yuuta," Shuusuke says, folding his hands in his lap.
"It is not about me!"
"Now now, Yuuta, let your brother talk," their father says.
Shuusuke smiles at Yuuta and then continues. He ignores the bared teeth that his little brother replies with. Real Yuuta doesn't mind this, though, because at least he's managed to get some control over Dream Yuuta's responses. It's a small, private victory.
"It's about Yuuta, and he's a little embarrassed about it, though really, he shouldn't be." Aniki has the audacity to look proud! "I got him pregnant, and we're going to need your help."
"Do you have to be so blunt?!" Dream Yuuta squeaks.
"Yuuta, you shouldn't be getting so worked up in your condition!" Yoshiko hurries over to his chair and pats his stomach in what she probably assumes is a soothing manner. "We'll give you all the help you need - we'll inform your school, and we can convert your and Shuusuke's rooms into a studio flat, and you won't need to work, so don't worry about a thing!"
"It's as your mother says. We'll be with you every step of the way, and you could do worse than having Shuusuke as your partner, Yuuta."
Both Yuutas wonder what happened to his real parents.
"But... I don't want to keep it..." Dream Yuuta mumbles, and Real Yuuta wishes he has control over him all the time, because he needs to stand up and take charge right now, lest things take a very disturbing turn for the worse!
It happens, though.
"You don't want to keep it?" Yoshiko looks crestfallen, and Dream Yuuta finds he doesn't want to disappoint her. Dream Aniki evidently doesn't want to either, although he had a sinister agenda beforehand anyway, and says, "Of course he does really. He's just emotional right now." He leaves his chair and goes to stand behind Yuuta's, putting his hands on his shoulders in a mocking show of affection and support.
Dream Yuuta starts to cry, and the shock Real Yuuta experiences at the fact that Dream Yuuta is actually being emotional now wakes him up from the nightmare finally.

"Did you have a bad dream, Yuuta?" Aniki was beside him in bed, looking concerned. "You were tossing and turning, and you looked really sick..."
"Er... yes. It was horrible."
Aniki opened his mouth to say something, so Yuuta cut him off before any damage could be done in the real world too. "I don't want to talk about it."
"That bad, mmn?"
Yuuta didn't like the way aniki smiled at him suddenly.
"You know what will make you feel better?"
"... What?"
"I can make mad, passionate love to you! Won't that be good?"
"No!" Yuuta half-barked, louder than he'd meant to, and fell out of bed.
It was a night of never-ending pain.
