I don't think I would like some of my favorite authors if I met them. There are a handful of people who's writing I really love; but from what I can gather from this writing, I just don't think we would be friends. For some reason it doesn't seem weird that I would enjoy someone's music or acting and not be able to be buddies with them. The idea that the same is true for writing is striking me as really odd right now. It seems like if I consistently connect with someone's words, I should therefore connect with them personally.
Enough dilly dally. I'm going to name names. The following is a short list of authors who's work I really like, but (based on no facts, knowledge, or even hearsay) I don't think I would be friends with:
