Harold and I were running errands last night, including a stop at JoAnn to get more thread. While waiting in line I overheard someone at the customer service counter asking if they sold anything like an iron-on or spray on pocket. I'll give you a moment to let that sink in.
So I'm watching Marie Antoinette while sewing. It's the scene where they're having the big party in the tent after the soldiers have returned and I had a revelation. I'm pretty sure that Rose Byrne as the Duchess de Polignac is channeling Miranda Richardson as Queen Elizabeth from Black Adder II. I think if you watch the two, you'll see what I mean
If consumption was half as prevalent as it was made out to be in periodesque movies and tv shows, it's a wonder that the human race has survived this long. It's a shame when you realize that all you have to see to know someone is about to die is the dreaded handkerchief and a tiny cough.
I love living in a house with forced air heating. Most of the time we've been living here, we haven't had the heat on, since we moved in mid-spring. I'm still learning where all the heat vents are and when I'm wandering around the house and pass in front of one that I didn't remember was there it's like winning a tiny warm foot lottery.
