So the Prince took me to see a digital encore presentation of the Met's performance of Madame Butterfly. Very minimalist approach to the set design. Also bun ra ku type puppets were used for some characters like Butterfly's son. I thought that it might be distracting but it was actually quite effective. The Prince took me to see La Traviata last night. It was glorious. Violetta's voice gave me chills and the new sets were incredibly beautiful. The new costumes didn't wow me, particularly Flora's. But overall, it was a wonderful evening with the Prince.

Had a lovely evening. Saw La Boheme with my mom and the Prince. The performance was at Music Hall, a Cincinnati landmark, full of ginormous crystal chandaliers, red velvet seats, and all of the gilt one could want. Had fun people watching before the performance.
