[Kate looks pale.  Her mouth opens a little while she fumbles with the device, but no words are coming out.  Her eyes are empty, not staring so much at the device as she is past it, her eyes locked onto nothingness as she fights to form words.

[She hears someone talking, and turns to the tablet. She can't actually see it very well, though. Tears have started to stream down her face - she'd done her best to hold them back, but there's only so far she can push herself.]

My apartment.

Uh. Okay. But where's that?

[He's already running by the looks of it.]

[She mutters directions.]

This has to be... some kind of sick joke.

Darlin', you all right? [The answer's no. He already knows that.] Might wanna be tellin' us where you are if you need that help.

[Somehow, that almost gets a laugh out of her. But it's a small, strangled laugh that sounds more like a cough.]

Do... I look all right to you? [Even though she knows she doesn't need to breath, it helps to pretend like she is, just to calm herself.] I'm in... in my apartment. Don't rush though, I'm... I'm pretty sure I can't actually die twice.

[She musters as close to a glare as she can at him and tells him where she's staying.]

I'd make you tell me what you mean by that but... I really don't think I want to know.

You don't have to come. Plenty of help is on the way already. [She clutches her bloody shirt in her fist as she lies on the floor.] I guess this is what you meant by torturing us, huh?

I'm glad you have help coming. [She frowns.] Unfortunately, yes. They would refer to it as a 'test' but I prefer referring to it as torture.

[The sound of his voice makes her start to cry. It's less the pain or the blood and more the trauma of being forced to relive all of this that makes her so weak. She shakes her head.]

There's help coming, just... stay where you are, Castle. [She can't go through that again. She can't see him right now, or hear what he said to her before. She just... can't.] Please, please don't come here.

[His mouth snaps shut with a snap, and he's not able to hide the conflicted pained look in his eyes. He should really learn to use the audio function on these things more often, but any excuse to see her is a good excuse.]

[If should could reach her tablet she'd cut the feed in a heartbeat. But she can barely even move. She's not even breathing anymore. It's not like she needs to, and she's forgotten to force herself to even bother.]
