(024) Twenty-Fourth Report [>>Audio -> Video]
[The sound of a muffled crash starts the feed: something heavy hitting something equally heavy, followed by the clatter of multiple objects falling. Labored breathing can be heard after; the occasional hiss of interference suggests the person must be nearly on top of the tablet's microphone.]
This is -- Valentine. Jill Valentine. [Her voice is as heavy as her breathing: exhausted, yes, but the strain and occasional break of pitch in her tone hint that she's holding back some serious pain.] I've been -- affected. I think--
[A long pause] I think it's... past. Past injuries. Or something -- related, I'm not... We need -- the medics to...
[Another solid thud, followed by a grunt. She exhales sharply, and then her words start to slur.] I'llbefine. No one -- don't come near me until this's... over. That's -- an order...
[She coughs.] John, don't -- come in, don't let... Door locked. I... shouldn't turn... but... I need...
[There's the sound of something soft sliding -- Jill's voice grows weaker.]
...don't... promise--

[A scraping sound, another thud -- and the tablet suddenly switches to video as it hits the ground. The view is fleetingly brief, just long enough to show Jill collapse heavily to her bedroom floor, her right shoulder and part of her back covered in blood.
And then the tablet falls forward, facedown, ending the feed.]
