[The video feed cuts on askew. The owner of this device certainly didn't mean to turn it on. In fact, the owner is obviously very preoccupied. The feed is at an angle, and what that angle reveals is of Cole, crawling on his hands and knees, sheer stone walls behind him, across a floor completely obscured by the thick layer of shattered glass

[She's going to try to not freak out. It's not going to work well. She's now gathering her equipment up. She tries to keep her voice steady.]

Cole?

Video;

[griftering]

[He doesn't look up to the device. He hears her voice, that's all that matters. He doesn't stop moving his hands through the glass, either.]

Don't worry, Charis. There can't be too many more. I'll get the right one. Just hang on a little longer.

Video;

[wasinnocent]

...What? Get the right what?

Video;

[griftering]

The key! [The force of his voice tweaked whatever was under his hand and he grimaced.] There can't be too many left. The right one's gotta be here somewhere. Just...just hang in there, okay?

Video;

[wasinnocent]

Stop, Cole. You're going to pass out at this rate from blood loss.

Video;

[griftering]

Naa. Not yet. [Nope. Not when there's somebody counting on him.] I got a key to find.

Video;

[wasinnocent]

What key, Cole?! What freaking key are you looking for?

[griftering]

...for the door. [Was she really that freaked out? All those years and she still freaks out like this?] To get you out.

Video;

[wasinnocent]

To get me--I'm not there with you. [Not that she didn't wish she was.] I'm not there, wherever there is.

Video;

[griftering]

[Hey! He found another key! That makes four! Surely one of these is the right one! He grunts as he shifts, glass grinding beneath him. He pulls his breath in a sharp hiss of pain.] I'll be right up, babe.

[wasinnocent]

Dammit Cole, listen to me! I'm not wherever the hell you are!

Video;

[griftering]

[He frowns but hesitates and doesn't start to climb the ladder.] I saw you. I talked to you. [A pause as he tries to clear his mind.] Look, I know you're scared, but you just got to trust me.

Video;

[wasinnocent]

I'm not scared, Cole! I'm not there! [Okay that's a lie, she's really scared.] Dammit, just stop being so stubborn for once and listen to me! I'm not there! I was at your place, we were asleep after screwing each other. I'm not there!

[griftering]

[What she's rambling about sounds like utter nonsense...until he actually pauses long enough to think about it.] Everything's kinda fuzzy, Charis. Don't...I can't remember...where are we? Why'd we come here? What's the mission, anyway?

Video;

[wasinnocent]

[She's angry, because it's easier to be angry than admit you're scared and worried and freaking out.] I don't know where you are! There was no mission, I woke up, you were gone. Wherever you are, I'm not there.

[griftering]

[He blinks and the pit around him wavers, becoming slightly less tangible. The glass, the stone walls, seem to fade. Cole shakes his head. Come on, Cash. Stay with it. You can't lose it here. Something about all this is off, though. She seems really...not freaked out about being locked in an incinerator...] I guess we're screwed, then. Neither of us know where I'm at.
