Unfortunately it's not a facade. The only 'bosses' here are Hades and Hecate - though I haven't seen them myself. From what I hear they're supposedly 'gods'. I can't attest to that myself though.

I think the most convincing evidence is that everything holds up to investigation. Besides the monsters and the fact that the area really does seem to have all the things the mythical Underworld would have, I guess some people have actually met Hecate and spoken with her.

The power she has...must seem very real.

Honestly, even though I've looked for it I haven't found any reason to believe this isn't the Underworld; but I like to keep an open mind anyway. If I end up having any reason to disbelieve it, I'm definitely going to mention it to everyone here.
