We were supposedly brought here to play a part in some sort of war yet all we do is survive here, fighting through what the Underworld puts us through.

A better question would be what are we not attacked by. If you look at the document I sent it has a list of creatures this place contains. That is not even counting what the Underworld comes up with occasionally. This place can do anything it wants to your mind and we have faced some very odd creatures such as ghosts, shark octopus hybrids, and what can only be classified as the animated dead.

If you find the Roadhouse speak to one of the people there about weapons. They would know the best place. However you can find almost anything in the market if you have the money for it.

That is not necessary. In the residential area you will find several apartments and houses abandoned with a stock of food ready for you to use. You need to make sure nobody else resides there first, of course.
