There were precious few places in the Underworld that Castiel found comforting. The week hadn't exactly been quiet, but Castiel found himself only monitoring the network and making sure his own small refuge remained untouched by whatever happened in the Underworld. He checked on those living in the house, fed Leppard, and continued on his way. He kept his head down, so to speak, and that was probably the smartest thing he could have done. Still reeling over the last incident, Castiel had taken the time to visit what he'd come to think of as "his" field: west of the city, and as open a place as there was in this godforsaken cave.

Needless to say, he'd been very displeased by the illusion of the pine box. He should go back to the house and check on the guys. Leppard was due to be fed. That, though, meant going inside.

He wasn't ready to do that.

And so, in lieu of doing what was perhaps the sensible thing, Castiel remained near the middle of the field, arms crossed and gaze fixed on the Forest -- though he saw essentially nothing.
