Chapter 11 http://undertheblu.livejournal.com/8151.html

Jaejoong stared down at his the floor as the nurse took his other arm and poked around to find a vein. He hated the way they could never find one and ended up bruising his nerves.
“Sorry honey,” She said as he winced, “just having a hard time finding one. I might need to get a smaller needle.”
“Butterfly needle usually works best,” He mumbled unhappily.
“I just need to take some blood then we’ll actually start.”
“Jaejoong, please stop moping.” His father sighed as he reentered the room.
Jaejoong raised his eyes and debated on flashing his father a fake grin but he didn’t really have the energy.
“You’re overreacting about all of this.”
“No I’m not.” Jaejoong replied, letting his eyes drop back down to the floor, wincing once again as the nurse poked a nerve again, “You can really afford to take time off work?”

“That’s right,” Tetsu nodded, sitting down.
“What’s Italy going to do without you,” Jaejoong rolled his eyes.
“I’m here, Jae. That’s what you wanted isn’t it?”
“I never asked you to come here,” Jaejoong shrugged, aware of how immature he was acting.
His father sighed, crossing his arms as he sat back on his seat. After so many years of dealing with Jaejoong, he knew not to take what he said too personal, “France called me the other day, even though you got yourself kicked out, they want to use the Venice painting in a gallery showing. Would that be alright with you?”
“I don’t care, I gave it to you, do what you want with it.” Jaejoong answered, watching the nurse walk away with his blood.
“Your mother said you got expelled from this school too?”

Jaejoong nodded, eyes following the nurse as she exited the room, “Mhm, seemed like a waste of time.”
His father raised an eyebrow, “Jaejoong, I know you don’t like hearing me-“
 “That’s right.”
“Are you trying to make a statement with the older men?”
“Yup,” Jaejoong sighed, turning his head away, “just trying to get your attention, Dad. “
“Is that true?”
“No. If I really wanted your attention I’d go fuck one of your business partners. That always seemed to do the trick.”
His father’s lips slid into a tight line, “Why do you talk about it so nonchalantly? You talk about it like it was something you want-“

He cut off his words when the nurse reentered the room, “Alright hun, are you ready?”
Jaejoong shrugged in agreement, the woman knew that he was an unwilling participant so she tried to be as pleasant as possible, “I’m just going to insert the needle, just a little prick and then you’ll feel a sting. It’s going to be a little painful, hun. We’ll have you here for three hours, let me know if at any time you need to take a break.”
Jaejoong was determined, no matter how uncomfortable it was, not to complain. As much as he hated that they weren’t taking his feelings into consideration, he wasn’t going to complain any about the pain. He’d complain for hours about having to do the therapy but not how it felt. He winced slightly as the iv was inserted under his skin.
“You okay?” His father asked, sitting forward in his seat.
“I’m fine.” Jaejoong snapped, turning his head to look out the window.
“You know, these hours of sitting probably would be a good time to talk to the psychologist.”
“Daaad,” Jaejoong whined, “double therapy session? Really?”

“It just might be a good use of the time, probably would take your mind off of it.”
“A good use of the time,” Jaejoong grumbled, “I don’t want to talk about it, just get over it.”
“I can’t win. When I try to talk with you, you get angry. When I leave you alone, you get angry. What do you want, Jaejoong?” Tetsu said, standing up and walking around.
“I never said I wanted anything from you,” Jaejoong shrugged, turning his head away again, “and I didn’t ask you to come here with me.”
“I want to be here for you,” His father said kneeling down in front of him so he’d have to look at him, “but you’re making it very difficult. You’re so stubborn with everyone, you’ve got all these wonderful people here that really love you, why do you keep trying to mess it up?”
“I’m not,” He answered softly, looking down at the tube in his arm, “I don’t mean to.”
“We could all help you so much more if you’d talk. Tell us how to make things better for you?” His father asked, touching his child’s hand.
Jaejoong frowned and pulled away, “I told you want I didn’t want, and you didn’t listen! Why should I talk to you at all? You’d just disregard it.”
“And you disregard anything we say!” He snapped back, standing up so he was talking down to Jaejoong, "Why are you so hell bent on doing everything to upset us and destroy your body? Do you enjoy being in pain?”

“No I don’t!” Jaejoong retorted, fighting not to rip the iv from his arm, “That’s why I do it! You’d be doing coke too if you had to feel like this everyday!”
“Like what, Jaejoong?” He knelt down again, making Jaejoong shrug away, “What do you feel, Jaejoong?”
An angry pout sat on Jaejoong’s pink lips, he hated the way his father said his name. Always called him by his full name they way you would an acquaintance. He shrugged and mumbled, “My body hurts.”
“That’s not what you meant. What are you feeling inside that has you so-“
“I’m not doing this!” Jaejoong snapped, gripping the tube in his hand and yanking it out from under his skin. He stood to walk away but his father’s arms prevented him from going anywhere.

“Jaejoong-“
“No! I’m not doing this shit!” He yelled back, blood sliding down his hand where he covered his arm. The faster his heart beat the more blood pumped out of his skin. His father grabbed his arm and with his own hand applied pressure to the area.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing? If you lose too much bloo-“
“I don’t care anymore! If you aren’t going to let me live the way I want why should I care about living?"

“I didn’t know he was sick,” Shiwon said as they walked down the hall.
“No one did.” Yoochun explained, “We didn’t for a long time either. He didn’t want anyone to know.”
“I think people would have been a bit more receptive to him if they’d known,” Shiwon said quietly, more to himself.
“I think that’s exactly why he didn’t want people knowing.” Yoochun shrugged, “He doesn’t really like sympathy.”
  “I wish I had known.”
Yoochun turned his head to see the other’s expression.
“There are things..I wish I hadn’t said to him, now that I know that.” Shiwon mumbled, looking down.
“And he’d probably hit you if he heard you say that,” Yoochun smirked, “He’d hate that.”
 “Yeah.”

They both lifted whirled their heads around when they heard shouting from down the hall. Yoochun scowled as he recognized a certain voice, “Fuck.” He whispered as he jogged down the hall.
Yunho was locked in blows with Taeyang, both shouting obscenities at the other. Yoochun ran in front of Yunho, pushing against his shoulders to keep him away from Taeyang, “What’s going on?!”
“That fuck’s been talking shit about Jae,” Yunho hissed, fighting against Yoochun’s hold.
“Let it go,” Yoochun sighed, having to really use all his weight to keep Yunho away from the other, “Let it go!”
“If it isn’t true why are you so upset about it?” Taeyang jeered.
“I’m going to kill you!” Yunho roared, almost knocking Yoochun over.

“Shiwon, help me!” Yoochun called over his shoulder.
Shiwon jumped to grab a hold of Yunho as he yelled, “He’s telling people Jae tried to kill himself.”
Both Yoochun and Shiwon glared at Taeyang as he replied, “Well how far away is he from an overdose anyway?”
All of a sudden Yoochun lost his support as Shiwon threw himself at Taeyang, “Whoa whoa!” Yoochun called, “Guys! Let it go!”
“You’re fine with him talking like that?!” Yunho cried.
“It’s not worth it! It’s not true, that’s all that matters. Now stop!"

“What happened?!” Mya exclaimed when she saw Yunho’s black eye.
“He got into a fight,” Yoochun sighed, dropping his bag by the stairs, “Kicked out of school for a week.”
Mya frowned sympathetically, “Oh honey, you really shouldn’t be fighting. I’ll get some ice for your eye.”
“He shouldn’t have been running his mouth,” Yunho mumbled, not wanting to mention what the fight was about to Mya.
“Jae would’ve thought it was funny though,” Yoochun chuckled.
  “It wasn’t funny.”
Mya returned with the ice and placed it on Yunho’s eye, “How’s Jae?” Yoochun asked, sitting down at the table. They both saw (Yunho with his good eye) her expression change.
“He’s not really happy, which is understandable. I guess, um he pulled out his iv on his first therapy session and lost a bit of blood.”

The two brothers sucked in their breath.
“He’s alright,” She said hurriedly before they got too worried, “he’s just resting and they’re monitoring him.”
“How long does he have to stay?” Yunho asked.
Mya sighed, “I’m really not sure, they can take such better care of him there at the hospital. And right now that’s what he needs. Even if it isn’t what he wants. He’s going to start talking with a therapist in the next couple days.”
“He isn’t going to like that,” Yunho snorted.
Yoochun nodded in aggreement, “That’s not going to go well.”
“He’s been in counseling before,” Mya nodded, “and you’re right, he’s not a fan to say the least.”
“Could we go see him in the next couple days?” Yoochun asked.

Mya smiled and nodded, “Of course, I’m sure he’d like that. How are you boys doing about all of this?”
Yunho shrugged and Yoochun answered, “We’re just worried about him. It’s weird not having him here at home."
“I’m glad you’ve gotten so close, I think having you two has really made a difference. But your father and I worry abut how you two will cope with all of this when it’s time.”
Yunho twisted in his chair uncomfortably while Yoochun just sat silently. Neither wanted to think about having to deal with that.
